The Effingham Water Authority met earlier this month to tour several proposed projects at Lake Sara.

The Board inspected a culvert and silting problem at Lot 7 in Shafer Estates Subdivison.  The Water Authority will clean out the ditches along the road.  Tom Ryan agreed to research a cover for the culvert and will contact the neighboring property owners to discuss the erosion.  The lot owners will be responsible for any shoreline and boat dock area improvements.  The Water Authority will not be responsible for dredging or cleaning out boat dock area.

The Board inspected a request for ravine improvements and a boathouse variance on Lot 70 W&W#2.  The boathouse variance was tabled pending site plans from Jack Poff.  Poff and Bruce Kowalski of Kabbes Asphalt were present at the site.

The Board inspected a site for an office building for Anthony Acres Motel.  Owner Tony Niebrugge presented plans for the office building.  The matter was tabled pending a sight elevation survey.

The Board inspected a new site for The Stage at the Marina.  The matter was tabled pending further discussions with owner Brian Larson.

A job description ad for the Lake Superintendent position was discussed, but no action was taken.

Recent air-conditioner bids were reviewed and discussed, as well as potential locations for the air-conditioner units.  A decision will be made at the Board's regular monthly meeting on Monday.

An increase in rental fee for the community building was tabled.
