“Settings for St. Anthony’s,” an elegant fundraising affair, will be held Thursday, November 15 from Noon to 8 p.m. at Wright’s Furniture in Dieterich.  This fundraising event, showcasing dinner tables decorated with seasonal dinnerware themes, and trees adorned with festive holiday decorations, will raise funds for the Friends of St. Anthony’s benefiting the hospital’s Mother/Baby Home Care Program.

Settings for St. Anthony’s is co-sponsored by the Friends of St. Anthony’s and Wright’s Furniture, with platinum sponsors Agracel, Inc., Dr. Lawrence Leventhal and Mrs. Jytte Leventhal, Dr. Ruben and Mrs. Emily Boyajian, Marshall Clinic Effingham, S.C., Midland States Bank, and Patterson Technology Center.

This will be the ninth year for “Settings for St. Anthony’s.”  The event offers the community an opportunity to enjoy a day of beauty and grace while supporting St. Anthony’s efforts to continue providing quality health care to the region.  An admission fee of $10 is requested at the door to stroll through Wright’s, viewing the gorgeous tabletops and trees sponsored and designed by local individuals, organizations and businesses.  A favorite tabletop display will be awarded.  There will also be a raffle of select tabletop displays, along with a silent auction for decorated trees and a wine/beer sleigh.

New this year is a special event, “A Night Out at Wright’s,” to be held Friday, November 16 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at Wright’s Furniture.  This premiere event will include Hors d’oeuvres, entertainment, raffle items, a silent auction and a live auction.  Tickets to this exclusive cocktail party are $25 per person, with proceeds benefiting the St. Anthony’s Mother/Baby Home Care Program.  For tickets to this special event, contact Michael Wall, Executive Director of Fund Development, at (217) 347-1854 or michael.wall@hshs.org.

“Settings for St. Anthony’s” and “A Night Out at Wright’s” offer some creative ways of decorating, while helping area mothers and babies by raising funds for St. Anthony’s Mother/Baby Home Care Program.  The Mother/Baby Home Care Program is a complimentary extension of a mother’s hospital stay to help ease any concerns she may have once she has left the hospital.  The program is offered free of charge to all mothers and babies who come to St. Anthony’s.  A registered nurse visits with the mother and her baby in their home shortly after they return home from the hospital.  Besides examining both the mother and baby, the nurse also answers questions that the new mother may have about caring for the baby.
