A Greenup man has been arrested in connection with an armed robbery of the Dollar General store in Greenup.

David Croy was apprehended in the vicinity of the store at 8:20pm Wednesday, shortly after the incident occurred. Greenup police made the arrest, assisted by Toledo police and the Cumberland County Sheriff's Department. Cumberland County State's Attorney Bryan Robbins said Croy is the only person charged in the incident.

Croy has been charged with armed robbery, a Class X felony punishable by up to 30 years in prison. Croy was arraigned Thursday afternoon before Judge Jonathan Braden and his bond was set at $50,000. Croy will be represented by the public defender. He is next due in court at 10am on April 3.
