Panel Discussion in Effingham on Public Education's Future

Join a panel of local teachers as Ryan Ervin, Lake Land College Instructor, leads a discussion focusing on the future of public education, the fourth in the Illinois Speaks - Effingham series on Thursday, April 6 at 6 p.m. in the Workman Room at the Suzette Brumleve Memorial Effingham Public Library.

Local teachers Jim Hammer from Effingham High School, Bill Hammer from Beecher City High School, Kelly Thoele from St. Anthony’s High School and Mendi Pals from Effingham Junior High School will share their experiences as teachers and the opportunities and concerns that they see developing for recruiting and retaining quality teachers in the community and region.

This series of talks has been made possible thanks to a grant from the Illinois Humanities Council.
