Pedestrian Uninjured When Struck by Vehicle

A Dieterich woman escaped injury when she was struck by a vehicle while cleaning up broken glass in a parking lot.

The incident happened at 11:40am Friday at 908 North Keller Drive. City police say the vehicle backed up into 31-year-old Justine Reyes, who was kneeling in the parking lot while cleaning up the glass. The vehicle left the scene, the driver apparently unaware of what happened.

City police are still looking into the incident.

Police are also investigating a burglary from a motor vehicle that occurred in the 900 block of North Parkview Street. 

The burglary occured sometime between 1:30pm on March 1 and 1:28pm Friday. A carpet box was stolen containing two subs and an amplifier. The total loss is estimated at $1,250.
