Reminder of City's No Burn Policy

As spring yard work begins, the City of Effingham has issued a reminder of the city's No Burn policy.

Residents may only burn leaves and yard waste on Fridays, Saturdays and Mondays within the corporate limits of the City of Effingham. Appropriate burning hours on burn days are from sunrise to 6pm.

The City fire department and police department will monitor, and recurring infractions will be dealt with by the standard fine as defined in the City Ordinance.
