Braden to Take Over as State's Attorney in Cumberland County

Independent candidate Jonathan Braden won a three-way race for Cumberland County State's Attorney Tuesday.

Braden received 2252 votes to 1976 votes Republican incumbent Barry Schaefer and 1002 votes for Democrat Shon Park.

Democrat Golda Dunn won a term as Circuit Clerk with 2328 votes in another three-way race over Republican Tracy Will with 2059 votes and Independent Ashley Keach with 879 votes.

Democrat incumbent Donna Whitaker was re-elected County Coroner over Republican J.P. Kruchten, 3332 to 1784.

Republicans Ronald Black with 1025 votes and Greg Johnson with 947 votes were elected to the Cumberland County Board from the Central District while Democrat Lloyd Lacy received 813 votes.

Neoga voters approved an electricity aggregation question, 393 Yes to 224 No.
