While there were reports of heavy rainfall and hail, there were no reports of injuries or serious damage in our area from Tuesday night's storms.

We received one inch of rain at our studios at Fayette and Willow, and a report of 1.7 inches of rainfall south of Effingham on the Effingham-Clay County line. 1.75 inches was reported in Jasper County just after midnight this morning.

Hail fell in Shelbyville Tuesday evening about 6:45, and another round of hail was seen in areas south of Xenia in Clay County measuring anywhere from an inch to 1.25 inches. There was also hail in Effingham and Teutopolis between 2:30 and 3am today, including some reported by Ted Rhodes in Teutopolis...

Wind gusts at or over 50MPH were reported across the state during the round of storms Tuesday evening and again overnight this morning.

Tornadoes were reported in Woodford and Marshall counties Tuesday night. There was a fatality reported in Ottawa that resulted from a tree falling on a resident.
