Greenup is home to the 15th Love’s Travel Stop location in Illinois. The new store, located at Interstate 70 and State Route 130 (Exit 119), offers food, fuel and other services and amenities, including the area’s first IHOP Express® restaurant. The new Love’s adds approximately 80 jobs to Cumberland County.

“We’re excited to open our second location in Illinois this year,” said Tom Love, founder and executive chairman of Love’s. “Greenup’s proximity to Interstate 70 and to the city of Effingham made it an attractive location for us. We’re in a convenient position to assist commuters, as well as professional drivers traveling between Indianapolis and St. Louis. As always, Customers can expect the ‘Clean Places, Friendly Faces’ Love’s is known for.”

IHOP Express guests can enjoy made-to-order breakfast favorites all day, every day. The restaurant concept combines the convenience of ordering at a service counter with the experience of being served food when it’s ready in the dining area. Included on the IHOP Express menu are many of the iconic brand’s most popular breakfast foods and beverages – like its world-famous Buttermilk Pancakes, fluffy omelettes, hickory-smoked bacon and International House Roast Coffee® – as well as signature lunch and dinner items, such as sandwiches and hand-seasoned 100% USDA choice beef burgers on a Brioche bun.

The 24/7 Love’s also offers a Chester’s Chicken restaurant, gourmet coffee, fresh fruit, gift items, a game room, 14 fuel pumps and more. The 12,000-square-foot travel stop provides services for professional truck drivers including 92 truck-parking spaces, seven showers, a Love’s Truck Tire Care center, nine diesel fuel pumps and other driver services.

Love’s will celebrate the opening by donating $2,000 to the Cumberland Community Unit School District. The donation will be presented at a ribbon cutting at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 8.
