Myers Resigns as EJHS Principal

The Effingham Unit 40 school board Tuesday accepted the resignation of Effingham Junior High School Principal Bill Myers.

Myers' resignation is effective June 30.

Myers said by phone this morning that he has a goal of serving as a unit superintendent and has applied for positions in other districts. He notified the EJHS staff of his plans last week.

School board members Tuesday also expelled one student through the end of the 2016-17 school year and referred the student to an alternative educational setting, and expelled another student until the end of the 2017-18 school year and referred the student to an alternative educational setting.
