Effingham Winter Guard Successful at State Competition

(MEMBERS OF THE EFFINGHAM WINTER GUARD)

The Effingham Winter Guard competed at the IDTA State Finals competition over the weekend at Prairie Capitol Convention Center in Springfield, and captured State Champion honors in Class AA Tall Flag and Class AA Lyrical Flag. Effingham also was AA second place Grand Champions.

Individually, Alissa Paige Kersey won 1st place IDTA Flag Solo Champion and Kiyla Ann Goss won 4th place IDTA Flag Soloist.

Team members are Kiyla Goss, Alissa Kersey, Jessica Starrett, Katie Smith and Ashtin Bridges. Ashley Bailey coaches the team, assisted by Tina Goss and Kim Kersey.
