Governor Bruce Rauner focused on the good and bad in Illinois in Wednesday's State of the State Address. With recent bipartisan cooperation in Senate budget talks, Rauner said teamwork will be needed to escape the state's fiscal crisis.

Rauner also says a task force is making progress on its plan for changing the school funding formula.

Rauner says the state has made considerable progress on ethics, including eliminating "patronage hires" at the Illinois Department of Transportation and modernizing and streamlining government departments and programs.
