Indictment Returned in Farina Bank Robbery

Federal charges have been filed against a man suspected with last fall's robbery of the Midland States Bank location in Farina.

Fayette County State's Attorney Joshua Morrison said the US Attorney's Office in Fairview Heights indicted Samuel Gregg of Indianapolis, Indiana for bank robbery, stemming from the October 7, 2016 holdup of the Farina bank.

Morrison said Gregg has been indicted on at least one other bank robbery in Indiana.

Morrison Tuesday said the Indiana case would likely go to trial before the Fayette County case.
