Several Personnel Moves at Jasper School Board Meeting

Several personnel moves were approved at this month's Jasper School Board meeting.

The Board approved Faron Bartens and Devon Cantrell as junior high scholastic bowl volunteers, Jason Lefler and Jonathan Broscious as mentors at Newton Elementary School, and Amber Shedelbower as a volunteer high school softball coach. Also approved was a resignation from bus driver Austin Ferguson and Emily Flach's maternity leave. It was also agreed to advertise for a fulltime Vocational Education instructor at Newton Community High School.

Jasper board members agreed to schedule a special meeting with an Illinois Association of School Boards representative and the school attorney for a board evaluation and for help with team-building skills. 

The Board also discussed improvements and health and life safety work needed in district buildings, but took no action on the item.
