Three people were injured in a crash west of the intersection of Jaycee and Banker just after 1:30pm Tuesday.

City police say a vehicle driven by 32-year-old Jennifer Rodriguez-Mata of Effingham rear-ended a vehicle driven by 29-year-old Shannon Martin of Watson.  Martin and two passengers in Rodriguez-Mata's vehicle, 28-year-old Israel Llano and 56-year-old Kathy Llano, both of Effingham, were all injured.  Martin refused treatment, but Israel and Kathy Llano were both taken by ambulance to St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham for treatment.

Rodriguez-Mata was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid the crash.
