Effingham resident Andrew Baker has been sentenced to 18 months in prison for domestic battery.

The 33-year-old Baker was arrested in October 2015. He was placed on probation, but the probation was revoked in October of this year.

Baker also faced two prior convictions for the offense, leading to the prison sentence Tuesday. He was given for 59 days served while awaiting disposition of his case.
