Injury Crash in Jasper County

An Oblong teenager was injured in a single-car crash in Jasper County.

State police report 17-year-old Grace Amburgey was westbound on Illinois 33 when her car ran off the highway and struck the end of a guardrail. The car overturned one full time and came to rest upright in the ditch.

Amburgey was airlifted from the scene to Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana.

Amburgey was cited for not wearing a seat belt and for improper lane usage. 

The crash happened at 6:45pm Tuesday.
