Details are in on two crashes in Effingham that occurred on Monday.
One crash happened at 9:27am just south of the intersection of Rickelman and 3rd.
City police report a minivan driven by 63-year-old Deanna Allison of Clay City drove over a raised median and traveled in the wrong lane of traffic, striking a semi driven by 62-year-old George Deters of Effingham.
Allison was injured and was taken to HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham. Allison was cited for driving in the wrong lane.

The other crash occurred at 3:27pm south of the intersection of Keller Drive and Hampton Drive.
Police say a vehicle driven by 21-year-old Adriana Kaufman of Effingham rear-ended a vehicle driven by 64-year-old Nancy Allen of Newton, causing Allen's vehicle to rear-end a vehicle driven by 24-year-old Nicholas Miller of Effingham, causing Miller's vehicle to rear-end a vehicle driven by 69-year-old Grover King of West York. A vehicle driven by 41-year-old Candice Higgs of Watson then rear-ended Kaufman's vehicle.
Kaufman was injured, but refused treatment.
No citations were issued.
