One of three people involved in a methamphetamine manufacturing operation in Watson has pleaded guilty and has been sentenced to 12 years in prison.

36-year-old James A. Erickson pleaded guilty to aggravated methamphetamine manufacturing. The offense was a Class X felony since Erickson's children were on the property where Erickson is accused of cooking the meth, an outbuilding near their house.

Once Erickson is out of prison, he'll face three years mandatory supervised release. He must also pay close to $4,000 in fines and assessments.

The cases of two co-defendants, 33-year-old Dawn M. Erickson, who is James Erickson's wife, and 22-year-old Michael J.R. Snyder of Effingham are yet to be concluded. Each is due to be back in court in November.
