The 133 members of 100+ Women Who Care Effingham County granted $13,300 to S.T.A.R. (Strategic Training and Restoration) during their final meeting of 2016 on October 13 at the Effingham County Cultural Center and Museum.

Katrina Smith represented S.T.A.R. and serves on its board. S.T.A.R. is a non-profit organization whose main purpose is to help financially fund the Effingham Area Drug Court program. S.T.A.R. strives to motivate and encourage all Drug Court participants, along with community members, to believe in the Drug Court program and work together in making positive changes in the community.

100+ Women Who Care Effingham County, a program of Effingham County Community Foundation, will resume its grantmaking in 2017 and is currently accepting new members.
