Sigel resident Benjamin Floyd has been sentenced to three years in prison for failing to register in Shelby County as a sex offender.

The sentence will run concurrent with another Shelby County count in which Floyd admitted to the allegations contained in a petition to revoke his probation on another count of failure to register as a sex offender.

Shelby County State's Attorney Gina Vonderheide said Floyd failed to notify the Shelby County Sheriff's Office of a change of address within the prescribed time.
