Work to install a cast iron water line in Teutopolis is moving ahead.

The village board Wednesday voted to pay contractor B&T Drainage $100,524 for work completed on the $272,000 project.

The water line is being installed from Oak Street to the village water treatment plant and from Pearl Street to St. Francis Township Road.

The Board also approved paying more than $11,000 to the engineer on the project.

Board members also voted to pay the CSX Railroad just over $1,600 for insurance and licensing related to a bore under the railroad for the water line work.
