Parker VanDyke of Clay County finished second in the competition. Thomas Crome of Clark County was the champion.

Crome said, "I'm going to be starting my 10th year (in 4-H). We won our barrow show the first year. Ever since then, I've been really into it."

Illinois Farm Bureau and the RFD Radio Network sponsor the competition held annually at the State Fair.
