Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center recently purchased three parcels of land in Neoga to build a fully modern clinic in the community.

The three properties are adjacent to the existing Sarah Bush Lincoln clinic at 650 Oak Avenue, and include a car wash and laundromat, a home and a vacant building.

Sarah Bush Lincoln Facilities Services Director Tim Kastl said the current facility will be razed to make room for an expanded parking lot for the clinic.

The newly-proposed clinic will look similar to other Sarah Bush Lincoln clinics with a brick facade, canopied entrance and expanded reception area and exam rooms to better accommodate the two providers at the Neoga Clinic, Family Practicioner Janice Vandeveer and Iven Boehm.

Typicallly, once construction begins, it takes about seven months to complete.

Sarah Bush Lincoln purchased the clinic from the Swengel family shortly after Dr. Robert Swengel died in 1994.
