The Illinois Rural Health Association has presented its 2016 Rural Health Award of Merit to the Illinois Telehealth Network. HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital of Effingham is one of the 23 Network members honored with the award Thursday at the Association's Educational Conference and Annual Meeting.

Each year, the Association's Award of Merit is presented to a group that has made great strides to improve access to rural health care with innovative programs or activities that provide outstanding benefit to the public's health.

HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital Chief Medical Officer Dr. Ryan Jennings, who co-chairs the ITN Tele-Behavioral Health Committee was among those on hand to accept the award.
