Today is the first full day of activities at the 2016 Illinois State Fair.

Today is County Fairs and Horse Racing Day at the fair. Here's a list of activities planned today:

--Ribbon Cutting ceremony at 9:30am

--Junior and Open Livestock Shows

--Ag Tours at 10am and 2pm, beginning at the Ag Tent

--Celebrity Showmanship Contest at 12 Noon, Junior Livestock Building

--Harness Racing in front of the grandstand, Post Time 12 Noon

--Illinois Chopped Challenge at 5pm in the Ag Tent

--Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo and Melissa Ethridge at 7:30pm in the Grandstand
