Two Killed and One Injured in Jasper County Accident

Two people were killed and one was injured in a single vehicle crash that occurred Friday night at approximately 6:20pm in Jasper County.

Killed in the crash were Christopher Zuber, 56, of Ste. Marie and a seven year old boy from Albion. A three year old boy, also from Albion, was transported from the scene by Air Evac to Carle Hospital in Urbana.

The Illinois State Police investigation indicates Zuber was traveling southbound on the Ste. Marie Road just south of CR 400 North, when he lost control of his SUV and it left the roadway to the west. After leaving the roadway, the vehicle continued traveling in the west ditch and ultimately struck a creek embankment and then came to rest, pointing east.
