A night of pulling action at the 72nd Annual Effingham County Fair.

Tractor pull fun begins at 6:30pm, followed by truck, tractor and antique and blower class pulling at 7pm. The action is sponsored by Hastings Filters and Dust and Son.

(WORD RECEIVED THAT A SHUTTLE IS OPERATING FROM 4PM TO 11PM TONIGHT FROM ALTAMONT HIGH SCHOOL TO THE FAIRGROUNDS AND BACK DUE TO THE MUDDY CONDITIONS IN SOME OF THE PARKING AREAS AT THE FAIRGROUNDS. THE SHUTTLE IS RUNNING EVERY 15 MINUTES)

Other activity includes harness racing at 1pm and the 4-H Auction at 5:30pm. Hear the harness racing on KJ Country 102.3.

Judging today includes cats and rabbits at 8am. Listen for results from Anna Wines at 8:45am each day during Fair Week on KJ Country 102.3.

Fair officials are putting down rock in the midway area so it should be a less messy night there for fairgoers on what is billed as a Family Friendly night at the fairgrounds.

The fair continues through Saturday at Altamont.
