Two Injured in Crash in Cumberland County Friday Evening

Two Brunswick, Ohio residents were injured in a crash in Cumberland County Friday evening.

State police say the crash occurred at 6:34pm on I-70 westbound, five miles east of Greenup. A car driven by 53-year-old Andreas Buchfellner struck a deer crossing the roadway with its front end, causing the airbags to deploy. The car ran off the road, coming to rest in the median.

Buchfellner and his passenger, 49-year-old Christina Buchfellner, were injured and were taken to HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham.

No tickets were issued.
