Dieterich Board Ends 8th Grade Promotion Ceremony

Dieterich school board members have decided to discontinue the practice of hosting an 8th grade promotion ceremony.

For Dieterich, the ceremony has taken place on the evening of the last day of student attendance. 

The Dieterich decision follows the lead of several other school districts.

Also this week, the Dieterich board contracted for audit services and awarded bids for various commodities. The Board also reviewed and approved District goals. The goals are a product of a community forum and Board goal-setting sessions that took place within the past year.

In personnel moves, the Dieterich board accepted the resignation of teacher aide Angie McElravy and hired Courtney Will as teacher aide.
