A vehicle drove under a stopped school bus near Casey Thursday morning.
State police say a vehicle driven by 55-year-old Pamela Brandenburg of Casey drove under the bus operated by 52-year-old Lisa Adams of Casey at 7:33am. The incident occurred on the Cumberland Road, south of US 40. Police say the bus had its warning lights flashing and its stop arm extended.
There were 13 passengers on the school bus at the time of the incident, and two had just gotten onto the bus and were still standing in the aisle. One of the children was taken to Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center in Coles County for examination.
Brandenburg was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid the crash. She was also injured and was taken to Terre Haute Union Hospital for treatment.
