Three Injured in Crash at 40 and 128 Friday

Three people were injured in a crash at US 40 and Illinois 128 Friday afternoon.

State police say the crash occured at 5:23pm when a vehicle driven by 33-year-old Timothy Rahn of Dix pulled through the intersection into the path of a vehicle driven by 31-year-old Gregory Leduc of Vandalia.

Leduc was injured in the collision as were a five-year-old boy and a three-year-old boy, both from Vandalia, who were traveling with him. All three were taken to HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham for treatment of what were termed minor injuries.

Rahn was cited for failure to yield at a stop intersection. The crash happened shortly before 5:30pm.
