Lake Land Board Appoints Vice President

The Lake Land College Board of Trustees unanimously approved Bryan Gleckler as the vice president for business services at its regular meeting June 13.

Lake Land College President Josh Bullock said “The financial expertise and leadership experience that Bryan brings will be a tremendous asset to Lake Land College as we continue delivering outstanding educational opportunities for students while navigating challenging financial times. He will be a great addition to our leadership team and college community.”

Prior to his current position as the director of operations and finance at the Moss Group, Inc., in Washington, D.C., Gleckler served as the chief of staff for the Illinois Department of Corrections. He joined the DOC as an intern while completing a master’s degree. During his 17 year career with DOC, he served in numerous fiscal roles including executive assistant to the chief financial officer, agency budget manager/purchasing supervisor, assistant deputy director for fiscal strategic planning, chief financial officer and chief of staff.

As the vice president for business services, Gleckler will serve as the college’s chief financial officer and will provide leadership and vision for all business services operations of the college, including information systems and services, physical plant, human resources, auxiliary services and accounting.

Gleckler has a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a master’s degree in public administration from the University of Illinois at Springfield.

He will begin his official duties July 11.
