Retiring Effingham County Board Chairman Carolyn Willenburg shared about activities in the County during her years on the Board during the October 10 meeting of the Effingham Noon Rotary Club.

Willenburg discussed accomplishments including construction of the Effingham County Government Center, development of a Poor Farm Cemetery, and creation of a public transportation network.  She was the guest of Noon Club President Rosie Gibbons.

The weekly Rotary Student Guest was Evan Jennings, son of Steve and Jamie Jennings and a senior at Effingham High School.

Noon Rotarians also got to meet this year's Rotarian Youth Exchange student, Vitor Celestino of Alta Floresta, Brazil.  He is attending Altamont Community High School and is currently staying with the Alan Whitt family.
