Dieterich Unit #30 Establishes Prevailing Wage Rates

The Dieterich Unit #30 Board established prevailing wage rates in accordance with the Illinois Department of Labor Monday evening. The notice will be posted in the Unit Office of the District for public inspection.

In other action, the Board amended the FY 2016 budget to reflect a more accurate financial picture. The amended budget had been on display in the Unit Ofifce since the May regular board meeting.

The Board accepted a bid from South Central FS for fuel and Prairie Farms for milk for the 2016-17 year. It renewed its membership in the Illinois Association of School Boards for the 2016-17 school year and established its board meeting schedule. The meetings will take place the second Monday of each month in the elementary library at 6 p.m.

The Board reviewd and approved the amended fee schedule for the upcoming school year. The document was amended to include a new dual credit offerings of Algebra III, Stats/Finite Math and Strategies for Success.

In personnel matters, the Board reassigned Devin McManaway from second grade to sixth grade, reassigned Donetta Ohnesorge from part-time teacher to full-time teacher, reassigned Carla Dasenbrock from part-time aide to full-time aide, accepted the resignation of Janet Tague as Drama Club sponsor, hired Heather Siegel as part-time art teacher and Drama Club sponsor, hired Scarlett McBride as teacher aide, hired Jennifer Meinhart as teacher aide, hired Angela Miller as teacher aide, hired Gina Koester as elementary teacher and approved the 2016-17 coaches and sponsors list.

The Board approved a three-year contract with the Dieterich Education Association. The contract will run through the 2018-19 school year. The contract will be placed on the school website once a final draft is produced and signed by both parties.
