Miller, Mosby Charged With Dealing Drugs

On June 9 at approximately 6:30 p.m., an Effingham County Sheriff's Deputy initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle on Route 45 approximately five miles south of Effingham. During the initial investigation, information was obtained about illegal methamphetamine distribution in the City of Effingham.

Information obtained during the stop implicated a suspect, Kendrick Miller, was selling methamphetamine out of an apartment complex in Effingham. Information was gathered that the suspect dealing the drugs was possibly armed.

A high risk search warrent was executed by members of the Effingham County Sheriff's Office and members of the ILEAS 9/11 Special Response Team. Kendrick Miller, age 23, of Effingham and Jesse David James Mosby, age 20, of  Effingham were arrested without incident.

Miller was charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of Methamphetamine.

Mosby was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine. No weapons were discovered during the arrest.

As in any criminal case, all persons under arrest are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
