Strasburg, Windsor Legion Posts Plan Flag Disposal Ceremony

Two area American Legion posts are planning a flag disposal ceremony.

The ceremony, appropriately enough, will take place on Flag Day, Tuesday, June 14. Members of Liberty Post #289 in Strasburg and Garrett-Baldridge Post #725 in Windsor will conduct the ceremony at the Veterans Memorial in Strasburg. The two posts hold the disposal ceremony each yea, rotating the ceremony between Windsor and Strasburg.

Members of the community are asked to save their unserviceable flags and give them to any American Legion member in Strasburg, or take them to the Village Office in Strasburg on Monday, Wednesday or Thursdays, or place in the container in front of the Legion Post in Windsor.

The community is invited to attend the ceremony, and to take along their lawn chairs.
