The 2016 Teutopolis Knights of Columbus Parade is set for Sunday, June 12.

The parade will step off at noon. This year's theme is "Working Together to Find a Cure".

Check-in will begin at 10am, with judging at 11am.

Mail your entry to: Teutopolis K of C, PO Box 711, Teutopolis, IL 62467, or phone 217-857-3111. You may also mail your entry to: Jeff Hoene, 17526 E. 1650th Avenue, Teutopolis, IL 62467, or phone 217-857-1451.

Please submit the name of your entry, a person to contact, phone number and a description of your entry.

This year, instead of cash prizes for each category, the Knights will be donating money to help fight cancer. The Grand Knight Award will be presented to the best entry. You're encouraged to, if possible, follow the theme of the parade to bring more awareness to the fight against cancer.

Area dentist Dr. F.L. Weber, who was diagnosed with throat cancer, started the Cancer Day Picnic and Parade to raise money for cancer research. The Knights would like to honor the memory of Dr. Weber and are bringing back his Cancer Day theme, "Working Together to Find a Cure".

Elizabeth Weidner and her family will be the Grand Marshals of the parade. Organizers are hoping for a big crowd along the parade route.
