One person was injured in a crash in Richland County Friday evening.

State police report the crash occurred at 6:52pm on Ste. Marie Road, about a quarter-mile south of Radio Tower Lane.

A car driven by 42-year-old Suzanne Newby was traveling north and had just crested a hilltop at the same time a southbound car driven by 62-year-old Kathy Black was approaching the crest of the hill. Police say Newby's vehicle was partially in Black's lane of travel and struck the Black vehicle. The impact caused Newby's vehicle to rotate in the roadway and roll backwards. The car then left the roadway and struck a ditch embankment.

Newby was injured and was taken to Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, Indiana.

Newby was cited for driving on the wrong side of the roadway.

A report on the crash did not contain the towns where the drivers live.
