Three people were injured in a collision in the western part of Effingham County Tuesday evening.

The crash happened at 6:43pm at the intersection of 300th Street and 1400th Avenue in Moccasin Township.

Effingham County Sheriff's Department reports 20-year-old Sara Flores of Altamont was unable to stop her car on loose gravel and the wet roadway at the intersection. A car driven by 49-year-old Tony Devore of Beecher City collided with Flores in the intersection. Devore's car rolled over onto its top and came to rest in a ditch. Flores' car also ended up in a ditch.

Devore and two passengers in his car, 42-year-old Colette Devore and 14-year-old Cheyenne Logsdon, both of Beecher City, were all injured and were taken to HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital.

Flores was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid the crash.
