Injury Crash in Clay County

A Clay City man was injured in a crash Wednesday afternoon.

State police report 47-year-old Mark Beck of Clay City was traveling on Tower Road near the intersection at Iron Mountain Lane when Beck failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway. Beck's pickup truck ran off the roadway and struck a creek embankment.

Beck was injured and was taken to Clay County Hospital in Flora for treatment. Beck was cited for DUI alcohol, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and improper lane usage.

The crash happened at 2:51pm about three miles south of Clay City.
