County Republicans Elect New Leadership Team

The Effingham County Republican Central Committee elected a new leadership team on Wednesday night.

Rob Arnold was elected Republican chairman, and John Perry was chosen vice-chairman. Ed Hoopingarner and Susan Petty were elected second vice-chairmen, Jane Willenborg was elected secretary, and John Niemerg was chosen treasurer.

Steve Donaldson will serve on the executive committee as the immediate past GOP chairman.

Past precinct committeeman and former Effingham County Clerk Bob Behrman helped run the election and counted ballots.

Donaldson was honored with a plaque for his 14 years as county GOP chairman.
