The resentencing hearing of Loogootee's Clifford Baker has been scheduled for July.

The sentencing will begin at 9am on July 7 in Fayette County Circuit Court in Vandalia.

The hearing was scheduled during a conference call Wednesday morning. Another conference call will take place at 8:45am on May 16 to make sure things are in place for the hearing.

Baker, now 20 years old, was found guilty in 2011 of first degree murder in the deaths of his neighbors, Mike Mahon and Debra Tish, in their home in Loogootee. He was sentenced to natural life in prison without possibility of parole.

The US Supreme Court later decided that life without possibility of parole for someone under age 18 was unconstitutional, and made the decision retroactive, meaning Baker needs to be resentenced, although his convictions still stand. He has remained in custody while the resentencing is being arranged.
