Things are back to normal at Effingham's Pizza Hut after a midday fire call.

Effingham Fire Chief Joe Holomy said restaurant employees phoned to say there was smoke in the kitchen. Firefighters responded and spotted no smoke, but did detect a slight odor. A search of the building was made, including the roof where fire crews checked on a heating unit.

There was no damage to the restauarant. Firefighters cleared the scene around 12:40pm.
