Sunrise Service Scheduled at Cross, Good Friday Service Tonight

Easter will be celebrated during a Sunrise Service Sunday morning at the Cross at the Crossroads.

The service will begin at 6:30 am, outside if the weather permits, or in the Cross Chapel in case of rainy weather.

First Baptist Church Pastor Roger Marshall will serve as the speaker, while Iglesia Bautista Latina Pastor Tony Munoz will lead the music.

The Effingham Ministerial Association sponsors the Sunrise Service.

There's also a Good Friday service this evening at the Cross at 7:30pm, also to be led by Roger Marshall. That service will involve a time of prayer and also communion. Music will be provided by First Presbyterian Church.

The cross will be bathed in red light to remember the sacrifice of Jesus from tonight's service until the Sunday morning Sunrise Service.

The public is invited to participate in both services at the Cross.
