The Equity Chief Executive Officer Bruce Vernon has announced The Equity has entered into a Letter of Intent to purchase Kohlbrecher Truck Service, Inc. of St. Rose, Illinois.

Kohlbrecher Truck Service engages in agronomy, feed and farm supplies, and commercial trucking operations. The purchase was finalized on Thursday, March 10.

Kohlbrecher Trucking Service, Inc. is a family-owned and operated agricultural retailer with a tradition of customer service and a team of employees and managers.

“The Kohlbrecher business and location is very complementary to our expansion in Greenville, Illinois. The addition of Kohlbrecher’s will enable us to offer a wider range of products and services for this upcoming Spring application season,” says Vernon.

Butch Kolhbrecher, owner of Kohlbrecher Truck Service, Inc., agrees, “Our team is excited to join the ranks of an organization such as The Equity. We share core values and are aligned in our vision of providing excellent customer service.”

The Equity, founded in 1919, is one of the largest independent agricultural cooperatives in the United States with 19 locations covering more than 10,000 square miles.
