Teutopolis village board members have voted to support the Construction Trades Education Curriculum, or CTEC.

The Board voted to contribute $5,000 for each of the next two years toward the class, which is designed to educate local residents in the building trades area.

Board members also voted to expand the number of parcels bound by an ordinance prohibiting the use of groundwater as a potable water supply by the installation or use of potable water supply wells. The parcels are in the central part of the village where underground storage tanks are used or have been used.

Following a closed session, Teutopolis board members decided to retain Blue Cross Blue Shield for employee health insurance, and approved 3% pay raises for village employees effective May 1.
