Water in the Pool at Workman Complex

Tests have begun on the lap pool at the Richard E. Workman Sports and Wellness Complex.

Crews began to put water into the pool on Wednesday. The pool will be filled and drained several times, and then the Illinois Department of Public Health will have to okay the facility for it to be opened.

Park District Director Jeff Althoff said the goal is to have the aquatics complex open by March 15, but said there's the possibility it could be open sooner.
