St. Anthony High School won the WYSE regional competition held Friday at Lake Land College.

St. Anthony won the 700 Division, with Sullivan finishing second. St. Anthony finished 463 points of a possible 500, and earned points in five of the seven subject areas.

For St. Anthony, Grace Zeller earned first place in Biology, Gillian Erickson second in Chemistry, James Kabbes first in Math and in Physics, Andy Saba second in Math, and Isabel Moore second in Physics.

Other members of the squad are Parker Anderson, Abby Brown, Ian Harris, Emma Richards, Mary Ann Saba, Kristin Slaughter, Allison Spraul, Jenna Woltman, Rachel Wortman, Will Clausius, Nick Grunloh, Kyle Hartke and Chris Jones.

Joy Jones and Matthew Poston are the St. Anthony WYSE team coaches.

The team advanced to Sectional competition at Eastern Illinois University on March 10.
