Sigel Resident Injured in Sunday Crash

A Sigel resident was injured in a crash on Sunday morning.
Effingham County Sheriff's Department reports the crash happened just after 8am when a vehicle driven by 20-year-old Blake Greuel ran off the road after Greuel fell asleep at the wheel. The vehicle ended up in a ditch and rolled one time before coming to rest.
Greuel was injured, but refused treatment. He was cited for driving too fast for condtions.
The crash happened on 1900th Avenue, a half-mile west of Illinois Route 32 in Banner Township.
